Our private tours of the gardens usually last approximately three hours, but the length and duration is entirely flexible and can be modified to suit the needs of your group. The format is flexible too, as we can adjust the content and schedule again to suit the needs of your group, but as a guide, a standard tour would be formatted as follows:
Welcome and introduction (covering H&S and facilities) - 10 mins
Guided tour of the gardens - 2 hours
Refreshments - 50 mins
Note: our minimum group size is 15, but we can accommodate slightly smaller groups if no catering/refreshments are required.
We can adjust the tour by adding refreshments at the start of the tour, splitting the tour into two halves, or extending the tour should the group have more questions. We can also add additional time if your group wishes to wander around at their leisure after your tour has finished. Equally, if you so wish, your tour can be more relaxed and I will accompany the group as we wander around the gardens at your own pace and I can just answer questions as we journey through them.
We do propagate a number of our own plants from our gardens and they are available for sale at certain times of the year, subject to availability of course. They are reasonably priced to cover our costs and labour.
The refreshments are all produced on site and are included in the tour price and cover tea, coffee, water, homemade cakes and biscuits. If you or one of your guests has an allergy then please inform us when you make the booking, so we can provide suitable ingredients for any alternatives provided.
